Terminals at José Martí
HAV splits its traffic across separate terminals. Terminal 3 handles scheduled international flights and is where most visitors arrive. Terminal 2 historically served flights to and from the United States, and Terminal 1 handles domestic and some charter service. They are not within walking distance of one another, so if you connect onward to a domestic flight, budget time and a short taxi ride between buildings.
Getting from the airport into Havana
There is no train or metro from HAV. The standard options are an official airport taxi, a pre-arranged private transfer, or a classic-car pickup arranged through your casa particular. The ride into central Havana or Vedado takes roughly 25–40 minutes depending on traffic. Agree the fare before you set off — the airport run is a fixed, well-understood trip, not a metered one. Public buses exist but are impractical with luggage.
